Airport fees to rise
ANA will add 35 cents per passenger in the Azores
The manager of national airports, ANA-Aeroportos de Portugal, will increase airport fees by 10.81% next year.
The rise will be reflected in increases per passenger of 35 cents in the Azores, 79 cents in Madeira, 81 cents in Porto, 80 cents in Faro and 1.53 euros in Lisbon, reports Jornal de Negócios.
The new airport fees come into effect in February 2023 and “generally follow the increase in the inflation rate and the rules established by the concession contract with the State”, the newspaper adds.
Increase above inflation
According to ANA, this proposal to update the regulated rates already follows the new model provided for in the contract with the State, which will last until the end of the concession period, in 2062, which implies that, excluding the contribution of commercial revenues in the calculation rates, there will be an increase above inflation.
